Tell us about your drag name.
I got the Name from the Best selling Game on XBoX, Halo. Cortana is an Artificial Intelligence in the “Halo” universe. Her power and love story stuck with me. Thats where I got the name Cortana. LaReese is my Drag Last name that associates with the LaReese family. Shae Shae LaReese is the Head Mother, she is my Drag Grandmother.
Besides yourself, ;) who is your favorite drag queen/king?
Before I discovered my Drag Mother and Drag Grandmother my two favorite Drag Queens were Allyssa Edwards and Roxy Andrews.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up both in north and south Minneapolis. I attended elementary in North Minneapolis later moved to South Minneapolis where I finished middle school and high school. Go Teddies!!!
Who inspired you to perform?
My Drag Mother. She was the first Drag Queen I ever saw or remember seeing for the first time. Her energy and how well she did it stuck with me. I wanted to be just as good and have as much passion as she shows in all of her performances.
Where do you see the drag industry in 5 years? 10 years?
I’m a little concerned and hope for the best. Its changed so much and so fast. I love all the inclusivity that has happened over the years. But, some new drag just looks cheap, lazy and repetitive. But that is just my humble opinion.
Britney or Christina?
Christina on a more relatable note because she is Latina. Having that said, I will always be a Mariah Carey fan over anything.
